Speaking of kids, did you know that strategy games that will help them with critical thinking skills? You just need to adapt traditional dice games a bit for your giant dice. While it may be impossible to stick giant dice in a cup for a game like Yahtzee, here are some popular dice games that you can easily adapt for giant dice:
Giant Dice Game #1: Pig
Pig is a simple dice game that works perfectly with giant dice, while also teaching kids about taking risks and strategy. The goal of Pig is to reach 100 by rolling dice. Players take turns rolling a single die, and each turn goes until a player rolls a 1 or passes to the next player. Rolling a 2-6 earns each player points. If a player rolls a 2 and a 3, that totals 5 points. The player may choose to keep going or to pass. However, rolling a 1 brings that player’s turn to an end and erases any points earned during that turn. If a player rolled a 5 and then a 1, that player receives no points for that turn.
Giant Dice Game #2: Fifty
Fifty is a fun and simple dice game where players roll two die and try to reach 50 first. Points are only scored when a double number is rolled. Doubles of the numbers 1, 2, 4, and 5 earn a player 5 points during a turn. A double six earns a player 25 points, while a double 3 sends a player back down to zero.
